Quick and Easy! Sleepy Time Tea

My go-to essential oil for calming relaxation is Lavender! This essential oil is among the top essential oils you should have in your home and one of the top herbs to grow in your gardens!

Lavender has been used for hundreds of years for aromatherapy, aesthetics, and medicinal benefits. Lavender stems and sticks are too hard and woody to use, but the leaves and flowers may be brewed into a nice tea to alleviate headaches and relieve stress and depression.

This Sleepy Time Tea recipe is super easy to make and the results will have you snoozing peacefully. For a little flavor, I may add a black tea bag while steeping and a little honey for sweetness or a hint of creamer.

  • Boil 8 oz. of water.
  • Place 2 tsp. of fresh lavender buds into a tea bag or tea ball.
  • Place the tea bag/ball and water into your favorite tea cup or coffee mug.
  • Steep for 8-10 minutes.
  • Enjoy and have a great night's sleep!
