The Butta Guru's Cabinet: Cocoa Butter!

To all my Nature Lovers and Natural Product Connoisseurs. Thank you for viewing my blog, and please feel free to leave comments!
What is Cocoa Butter?
Cocoa Butta or theobroma oil comes from the Cacao tree. Using a cold press or expeller, cocoa butter is the fat that is extracted from the cocoa beans!
Cocoa Butter reduces the signs of aging, wrinkles, and dark spots? It also has a high content of antioxidants and Vitamins A, B, C, K, and F.!
I love the natural smell of Cocoa Butter. It reminds me of my childhood when my Ma use to slather me up with cocoa butter before school. I'd be the shiniest most moisturized kid on the block! Cocoa Butter, to me, smell catches you! It's a sweet, intoxicating, and mesmerizing. It's a smell that wheels you in, a beautiful smell. I imagine this is what Wakanda smells like!
In our melanin-blessed society, one may automatically associate cocoa butter with Africa because it is well part of our black culture. While researching its origins, I was surprised when I found out that Cocoa Butter did not originate from Africa but in South and Central America, mainly around the Amazon Basin. Mayans and Aztecs used cacao beans for medicinal purposes dating as far back to 600 B.C! 4,000 years ago cocoa beans were also used in spiritual ceremonies. Around the 17th century, well after the discovery of America, cocoa was then brought to Europe and the cultivation of the cacao tree began over there and slowly migrated into the Asian countries.
Now, in present time, 70% of the world's cocoa butter is produced in West African countries. I get my cocoa butter shipped straight from the motherland in Ghana. It's fresh, raw, and organic. Nothing but the best for my butta luvin' customers!💗💗

Did You KNOW:
Before the discovery of using cocoa butter for skin, can you believe cocoa beans were first ground, brewed, and made to drink as a laxative?
Is Cocoa Butter for Everybody?
Just note, Cocoa Butter is not for every skin type. With a comedogenic rating of 4, if you have sensitive skin or oily skin there is fairly a high likelihood of cocoa butter clogging your pores, causing a breakout. If you are treading in unfamiliar butter territory, always test the butter in a small area of the skin before you are sure you can use it. Some people are allergic to cocoa butter. If you have a nut allergy, maybe try an alternate like shea butter or palm oil.
