Protection from Free Radicals
Hello, Butter Lovers and Natural Product Connoisseurs!
I must say I am absolutely loving this weather.
I've got my seeds ready for my garden and my family and I are excited to get started
and have fun in the yard! My kiddies get to stay outside a little longer and on my off days, I can spend a little more time blogging and spreading some butter luv!
Speaking of being outdoors. Let's keep in mind that we show our skin some love. Meaning, whether we are doing yard work, trekking outside, walking on the beach, we should moisturize our skin with an all natural protecting body butter. Not only does moisturizing keep our skin hydrated by preventing it from drying out. Moisturizing keeps the skin nourished, creates a barrier on the skin, and protects it from free radicals!
What are Free Radicals?
Now, these free radicals are not a part of some fantastic giveaway! Free radicals can be damaging to the body and skin cells causing aging or disease. Things like fried foods, alcohol, and tobacco are examples of free radicals that can harm us on the inside. So yeah, it's important we watch what we are intaking into our bodies. I do eat a lot of fruits and veggies, but your Butta Guru is not the healthiest eater in the world. I do have my vices. I'm from Memphis, Tn, so I do like a good adult beverage, some hot wings, and even fried fish, BUT only in moderation, of course! 😊

- Air Pollution
- Smoke
- Ultraviolet Rays (UV) Rays
- Pesticides
Just note that if we know there is a smog alert or UV alert in our area, maybe the landscaper is outside working, spraying for weeds or bugs, we've got take the time to protect your skin. We should do this whether we are wearing short pants, long pants, skirts, dresses, short sleeves shirts, or long. These free radicals are elements that can seep through the fabric of our clothes and get onto our skin.
