Tea Tree and Coconut Salve

Tea Tree and Coconut SalveπŸ’‹

For Nail Beds (Fingers and Toes)
Organic Unrefined Coconut Oil

I had a customer request this little blend for her nail beds which were dry, cracking, and peeling. She wanted a natural alternative to the store bought solution she had previously tried.
She was researching online and asked me about the wonderful tea tree oil. I explained to her the benefits of tea tree oil that it was naturally anti-fungal, anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial, it also reduces scarring, and lightens the skin.
Side note: I stay with Tea Tree Oil in my cabinet. It's my favorite essential oil and I put it in almost all my personal homemade care products!

Adding a few drops of tea tree oil.
Tea Tree Oil is potent and really should not be used directly on the skin because it may cause irritation. I knew I had to blend this essential oil with a carrier oil or natural butter because my customer has maturing, very sensitive skin. I decided to use coconut oil. Ahh, coconut oil! Can't get enough of that coconut oil, LOL! πŸ˜† Coconut oil is moisturizing and has healing properties. The perfect oil to pair with Tea Tree Oil. I knew had to whip up something that she could use on a possibly daily basis to help relieve the problem with her nail beds while not irritating her skin. I concocted the perfect solution and was ecstatic to give the product to my customer on delivery day! Upon seeing the customer, I explained to her how to use the product and let her know, of course, that I would be following up.

You can blend or whip product as desired

Keeps for about 6 months in cool conditions
Two weeks went by and I reached out to the customer. I was anxious to hear her response. I asked her how her nail beds were and is she saw any improvements. I was pleased that the customer was satisfied. She was happy with the results and better yet reordered the salve a few weeks later! πŸ’“

How to make?

You can make this tea tree and coconut salve recipe on your own. Just two simple ingredients: Coconut oil and Tea Tree oil. I use unrefined coconut oil without the scent but you can use the scented kind if you like the smell of fresh coconut. You can slather or pack the salve around your toes or fingernail beds with this for about five minutes. Rinse with warm water. Pat Dry. Use as needed until you see skin improvement. in cool conditions and if it melts you can still use this salve in its oil form. Stir well before using. I love this product and I do keep some for myself as a part of my pedicure regime. Talk about supple toes...Yasssssss, LOLOL! Y'all are amazing. Thanks for reading.
